Just draw JD first on paper, however you want him to be reacting to the real world (i.e. like if you were holding him by the scruff of his neck, draw him kinda dangling) then bold the outlines so it can stand out more
Heh, and that also reminds me. I'm on the 2nd book of the 3rd series of Warriors, and let me just say that I'm kinda disappointed
